What is HBOT?

Indications

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment in which the patient is entirely enclosed in a chamber and breathes oxygen while the chamber pressure is increased to a pressure greater than one atmosphere (1ATA). In HBOT the patient inhales oxygen at high pressure inside a chamber. In the hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber, the air pressure is raised up to 1.3 to 3 ATA which is higher than the normal atmospheric pressure 1ATA. Under these conditions, your lungs can gather more oxygen than normal conditions which dissolves in the blood plasma.

Why hyperbaric oxygen therapy?

Because oxygen fuels the body to keep you on track

Everybody needs more oxygen. Every cell in the body needs oxygen to complete the metabolic processes that give us life and energy. Oxygen gives the athlete stamina, helps the injured heal, and protects us from environmental toxins. If the body’s intake of oxygen is insufficient, for whatever reason, then the body will be thrown out of balance. In today’s world, the most important factor that diminishes oxygen intake is pollution.

It is well recognized that when our levels of oxygen are reduced, our body's ability to repair and protect cells is severely impaired. Operating on reduced levels of oxygen encourages bacteria, fungus, viruses, microbes and pathogens to flourish. And when deprived of more than 60% oxygen, an ideal environment is created for damaged cells to mutate and cause even more diabolical damage to our systems. All of these harmful agents, as well as toxins, simply cannot exist in an oxygen rich environment.

That's why we all need to give our bodies more Oxygen!!!

Mechanism of HBOT

Normally only Red blood cells in the blood are capable of transporting oxygen to the tissues. Under hyperbaric conditions blood plasma which is rich is oxygen transports it even to areas where red blood cells are unable to reach treating complications arising due to the lack of oxygen. Also high levels of oxygen can result in formation of new blood vessels.
